The story
Aaron Hynes didn't start as a researcher. He started as someone who stood in front of a 200-ton stone block at Sacsayhuaman and realized that nothing he'd been told about it could actually explain what he was looking at.
That was the beginning of over a decade of field work — not from behind a desk, but in the actual places, with the actual stones, asking the questions the official tour guides aren't allowed to raise.
He's been to 50+ ancient sites across Peru, Bolivia, and Mexico. He runs the Megalithic Mystery channel on YouTube and X, where he documents what he finds. And he co-hosts Breaking Ancient News with Cody McDonald and Dave Floyd — a weekly podcast that covers ancient history without the institutional filters.
The tours came out of a simple realization: the best way to help people see what he sees is to take them there. No script. No tour bus. Just the evidence — and the freedom to ask what it means.
